OUR VOLUNTEER SERVICES

From Green Roots to Humanitarian Support

Helping Ukrainians in Times of War

Before 2022, Piana Vishnia was known for its active eco-volunteer community—organizing street cleanups, creating public play zones, and raising donations for children’s rehabilitation centers (DZP). Our mission was focused on sustainability and social good through grassroots action. But when the war began in 2022, everything changed. Seeing the suffering of our people—families who lost their homes, children who lost their parents, and civilians fleeing occupation—we couldn’t stay aside. We quickly transformed into a volunteer hub offering real help to those in crisis. We began providing:

  • Emergency aid to displaced families

  • Psychological and basic support to children affected by war

  • Donations of clothes, hygiene items, food, and essentials

  • Support to children from occupied territories and those left orphaned

Ongoing community support for anyone in need—no questions asked

What started as an eco-initiative grew into a lifeline for hundreds of Ukrainians. Piana Vishnia stands for unity, compassion, and action—because in the hardest moments, we show who we truly are.

About

Real Help. Real People. Real Impact.

How Piana Vishnia Supports Ukrainians in Crisis

Since the full-scale invasion in 2022, Piana Vishnia has shifted from purely eco-initiatives to direct humanitarian aid, supporting hundreds of families across Ukraine who lost their homes, their stability—and in many cases—their loved ones.

We have helped:

  • 78 children from frontline and occupied territories receive warm clothing, school supplies, and psychological support.

  • 42 families who lost their homes in Mariupol, Kharkiv, and Kherson settle temporarily, providing them with essentials: hygiene kits, baby food, bedding, and winter clothing.

  • Dozens of war orphans with ongoing support through donation drives and community networks.

Over 500 care packages delivered across Kyiv, Lviv, Dnipro, and small towns near the frontlines, packed with food, medicine, and basic necessities.

-"When we arrived from Lysychansk with nothing but our documents, Piana Vishnia gave us warm clothes, diapers, and even toys for my 3-year-old son. They treated us like family."Olena S., internally displaced mother of two

-"We had to leave our home in Zaporizhzhia and live in a school gym. Volunteers from Piana Vishnia came with food, hygiene kits, and just… kindness. It meant everything."Ihor D., 64, displaced senior

We don’t ask where you’re from or who you voted for. If you need help—we’re here. Whether it’s a toothbrush or a trauma therapist, we give what we can, when it’s needed most.

From Eco-Activism to Emergency Action

Future Plans & Vision

Building a Kinder, Greener, More Resilient Ukraine

At Piana Vishnia, our journey started with simple acts of care—cleaning streets, planting green spaces, helping children in need. In 2022, we rose to the challenge of war, transforming into a volunteer network that provides food, clothing, emotional support, and hope to displaced families and children affected by conflict. Now, we are looking forward.

Our Vision for the Future

  • Long-term support programs for war-affected children, especially those who lost parents or come from occupied territories — including mentorship, education access, and creative therapy.

  • Community hubs in multiple cities across Ukraine where displaced people can get essential aid, mental health support, and social connection.

  • Sustainable rebuilding: helping families restore damaged homes using eco-friendly materials and energy-efficient solutions.

  • Expansion of eco-initiatives in liberated and rural areas: reintroducing clean-up campaigns, recycling drives, and green playgrounds.

  • Volunteer education & training: equipping our growing team with skills in crisis response, first aid, and trauma-informed care.

We believe that rebuilding Ukraine is not only about walls and roofs — it’s about restoring dignity, stability, and the belief that the future can still be bright. As we grow, our values remain the same: compassion, community, sustainability, and action.

Every person we help, every tree we plant, every child we listen to — brings us closer to the Ukraine we dream of.
